Memo: How CENTCOM Gets It Done
Nine different organizations, eight separate acronyms, four locations around the globe, three dates, one memo: This internal coalition document came in today from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), in response to my earlier piece calling CENTCOM stupid .
The turgid memo gives an update on coalition military preparation for a multilateral counter-ISIL campaign. The metadata of the Microsoft Word file says it was prepared today.
"This effort will continue the process already established for previous efforts," the document says, all to culminate (my word) with another conference in Tampa at the end of the month that will firmly establish the plan for another conference. Read it and weep.
